Nick is an amazing designer with a killer portfolio, plus he is extremely mature and easy to get along with. He never complained about anything, but demonstrated a deep knowledge of design concepts and trends.
Chloe F.
Nick iterates extensively and effectively, as he asks his peers for critique, and will not rest until every pixel has the right color and is in the right location.
Nir R.
Nick is one of the most creative designers in the team, working with him will bring you not only the completed tasks with high quality, but also inspiration by his passion on creating things for better user experience.

When a designer falls in love with a dentist, when he decides to stay with her in his rest of live, the wedding becomes one of his most important projects, from logo to website, invitation to venue backdrop. :)
The concept of the logo is to symbolize our initials - (N)ick and (Z)eny. It represents the idea of unity. The Chinese-knot shape is also to respect our families - both of us are originally from Taiwan.

Citrix WorxMail is a containerized email, calendar and contact app, providing brand new functionality, updated features and a refreshed UI creating a pocket-sized workspace.
Leading this project from design perspective, I worked in a cross functional team with visual and interaction designers, user researchers, prototypers, project managers and developers.
Contribution included concepting, wireframing, product work flow, user interface design, iterations based on group critique and user studies, microsite front-end coding and communicating with stakeholders via 3-in-a-box meetings.

CMU HCII Capstone Project 2012
This was an 8-month Capstone project at Human-Computer Interaction Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. Since January 2012, our team has been looking at the world of social expressions, from greeting cards to gift-giving and examining a specific area within this broad scope. During the summer of 2012, our team went through several iterative design process and evaluations, ended up with a design solution based on our prior research.
As design lead of this project, my contributions were interaction and visual design, user research, branding, presentation slides design and final deliverables to our client, Hewlett-Packard.

Monsters Inc is an innovative project as well as my first project after joining Citrix as a product designer. Designers here could spend their 20% of time on topics they are interested in, apart from regular product line work.
Monsters Inc helps people to attain balance and flexibility of work and life, by changing their behavior, even slightly, to achieve the goals they set. It works within company network and connects co-workers, the people that see each other all the time and turns them into a support network, that’s focused on change. Monsters Inc also reminds you to log your activities based on time of day and your location and it rewards achievements and motivate you to keep going.
It was a team project of two, my contributions were ideating, high-fidelity UI design, stop-motion-animation, concept video editing, and playing around with LEGO bricks. :)

SmartPark is an exciting new Mobile phone app that leverages easily implementable technology to allow people to pay for parking through their mobile phone. It works by scanning a QR code that would automatically pair their car to the spot until they returned.
Parking Administrators can enjoy the benefits of easy management and efficient patrolling as the app will tell them which of the spots they need to check. They also save money by reducing the amount of coins that need to be collected reduce their maintenance costs by converting a portion of the meters to SmartPark signs instead of more costly traditional meters.
Users will be excited to use it because of the many conveniences it offers them. It will eliminate the need to worry about whether your meter will run out and it will make carrying around coins to feed to the meter a thing of the past. It can even find parking for you and guide you back to your car, something no other parking service can do!

HTC 2009
HTC HD2 is a smartphone designed and manufactured by HTC. The HD2 natively runs Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, and was released in North America in March 2010. It was the first smartphone with a 4.3-inch touchscreen, the first Windows Mobile 6.5 phone with a multitouch capacitive screen and HTC Sense.
My major responsibility was the HTC Sense user interface, from earlier concept to final implementation. Co-worked with project managers to make sure everything is on schedule, with usability engineers to finalize layouts and flow, with planners to lock down function and features, as well as delivered assets to developers.

[4h] DESIGN is the predecessor of this current portfolio, designed and hand-coded by me. It contains 42 of my projects from 2007 to 2012.
I recently updated it to catch up with the trend - a flat and responsive web design.
Why I named it "4h" ?
First of all, there are four characters (h) in my legal name (Shih-Hao Yeh). Secondly, if you flip the [4h] logo up-side-down, you will find it symmatrical. Yep, I am a completist.
